The faculty is based at 41 & 47 Wellington Square but some events are at the Taylor Institution on the corner of St. Giles and Beaumont Street, next to the Ashmolean Museum and opposite the Randolph Hotel.
Both of these buildings are easily accessible from Gloucester Green coach station (5 minute walk) and Oxford train station (10-15 minute walk), as well as from the nearby Park and Ride bus stops (see below).
Getting into Oxford
By train
- From the north: via Birmingham New Street
- From the west: via Didcot or Reading
- From the east: from London Paddington or Marylebone (to Oxford NOT Oxford Parkway)
- From the south: via Basingstoke
By coach
There are regular coach services into Oxford most of which drop off in Gloucester Green (some drop off very nearby on George Street or St Giles).
From London, the Oxford Tube and National Express services pick up from Victoria station and several other stops in central London and run up to every 10 minutes throughout the day and night, with an end-to-end journey time of just under two hours (traffic depending). The best drop-off point is the terminus at Gloucester Green coach station.
By car
Public parking in Oxford is very crowded and extremely expensive. Parking on university property is by permit only. The best option for motorists coming from outside Oxford is to use the city's Park and Ride system and park close to the ring-road, travelling into the city on a frequent bus service.
Timetable and fare details are available from the Oxford Bus Company.
