I completed my BA, MSt and DPhil in Modern Languages (Italian and Spanish) at Magdalen College. My thesis was entitled 'Las cient novelas de Juan Bocacio. A critical edition of the medieval Castilian translation of Boccaccio's Decameron'.
Through my lectureship at Edmund Hall and Magdalen College, as well as within the faculty I teach Medieval Spanish Literature (romancero viejo, early lyric, Sendebar, Jorge Manrique, Cárcel de amor, Poema de mio Cid, Libro de buen amor, Celestina), History of the Spanish Language, and Spanish-English translation.
My research interests include medieval and early-modern Spanish and Italian literature, textual criticism, historical linguistics, history of the book and palaeography.
