On Thursday, June 14th we invite you to a reading by Puerto Rican author, photographer and film-maker Eduardo Lalo. This event will take place in Room 2 of the Taylor Institute, from 5 pm.
Eduardo Lalo is particularly interested in writing about cities, and his novel Simone, which won the Rómulo Gallegos International Novel Prize in 2013, is a haunting narrative about a writer and a Chinese-Puerto Rican woman who find themselves through their shared love of books. At this event, Lalo will read in Spanish from a number of his works (La inutilidad, Simone, Necrópolis, and Interperie).
This event is free and open to the public.

Please, note that Eduardo Lalo will also speak alongside Antonio Carmona-Báez and Sarah Molinari in the one-day symposium Puerto Rico After Hurricane María: Culture, Politics, Place on Friday, June 15th (10.30 am to 5.30 pm at the Rothermere American Institute).
