The Annual German Studies conference from 1-3 September 2025 will be held at St. John's College, with some sessions also taking place at the Taylorian Institute Library.
Traditionally the AGS conference has offered rates for non-members for both 3-day registration and day rates (and both for waged colleagues and graduate attendees). This is not possible this year for technical reasons. At checkout you will therefore be asked to tick a box confirming that you are a member. Since both day rates and 3-day rates for non-members (£40 extra for 3-day and individual day rates and £25 extra for graduates) are always higher than membership rates, it is hoped everyone will simply join here (even if only for the year!): https://ags.ac.uk/subscription-plan/
Membership is open to all. If anyone is unable to join, please seek further information from: oxfordags2025@mod-langs.ox.ac.uk
Registration for the conference can be made via an online store: https://www.oxforduniversitystores.co.uk/conferences-and-events/modern-languages/events/ags-german-in-the-world-conference
Please note: If you have not already registered an account on the University Online Store, you will need to register an account in order to make a booking. Alternatively, login as usual.
All food at the conference will be vegetarian. Please inform us of any allergies or further dietary requirements at booking stage.
Accommodation is available at St. John's College, and will be on a first come, first served basis. Bookings can be made here. Queries about accommodation should be sent to: events@sjc.ox.ac.uk
