Dr Caroline Warman (Associate Professor of French, Jesus) has received a Teaching Excellence Award for her involvement of fifteen colleges and 102 second-year ML students in translating a collection of sixty Enlightenment texts on Tolerance, promoting the values of tolerance, free speech, liberty and human rights in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris. The result was a published book, which received wide coverage in the national, local, and student press, and whose free online version has been viewed 15,331 times since its launch on 7 January 2016 (http://www.openbookpublishers.com/product/418/).
 
Dr Alexander Krasovitsky (Faculty lector in Russian) has been awarded a Humanities Teaching Project Grant to develop an interactive learning environment for intermediate and advanced students of Russian.
