An interview with Henrike Lähnemann, Professor of Medieval German, was recently published in Letter, the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) alumni magazine. Henrike discusses her reactions to the Brexit vote, and those of people around her in the UK, and thoughts on how it will affect British universities.

Henrike’s chair in Medieval German Literature and Linguistics is partly funded by the DAAD, and earlier this month she helped host Dr Margaret Wintermantel, President of the DAAD, for a visit to Pembroke College, where Dr Wintermantel took part in the first evidence session for the House of Commons Education Select Committee’s inquiry on the impact of exiting the European Union on higher education.
