The annual Goncourt prize is considered to be France's most prestigious literary award. In 2019 students from 7 UK universities including Oxford voted on their winner amongst the shortlisted books. The Académie Goncourt has just announced its shortlist for 2020. Once again, we would like to invite Oxford students to take part in the process of selecting the winner of the UK Choix Goncourt.

You can read about last year's experience in the words of two of the participants, James Hughes and Julia Moore along with the speech given at the award ceremony at the Résidence de France by Professor Dame Marina Warner.

If you want to know more about the other Choix Goncourt around the world, you can go to the website of the Académie: https://www.academiegoncourt.com/choix-goncourt-a-l-etranger.
