French Novels

We are delighted to announce the launch of the freely searchable CAT19 database of French novels from 1801-1830.

This database is hosted jointly by the University of Oxford and the Université Libre de Bruxelles. It was supervised by Professor Catriona Seth FBA MAE with Professor Valérie André of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. The data was collected by  Dr Fanny Lacôte, Dr Chanel de Halleux and Dr Jon Hensher, thanks to funding obtained from the Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages at Oxford, TORCH/the John Fell Fund and the Fondation Wiener-Anspach.

There will be a launch event later on this year to celebrate this achievement.
