Patrick McGuinness and Stephen Romer win the Scott Moncrieff Prize for their translation of Gilles Ortlieb's The Day's Ration (Arc Publications). This is the 60th anniversary of the prize. Established in 1965, and named after the celebrated translator of Proust’s Á la Recherche du Temps Perdu, the prize is generously sponsored by the Institut français du Royaume-Uni.
