The Maison is part of the network of French Overseas Research Institutes. It is a joint venture between the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), attached to both the Embassy in London and the National Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (INSHS) in Paris.
