Prof. Henrike Lähnemann has received a three-year ProNiedersachsen grant in conjunction with the Klosterkammer Niedersachsen and the Fritz Thyssen Stiftung to continue editing the letter books of Northern German nuns together with the historian Prof. Eva Schlotheuber (Düsseldorf). The first part of the project received funding by the Gerda Henkel Stiftung, the VolkswagenStiftung, and the Herzog August Bibliothek where the edition is hosted. The Benedictine convent of Lüne (Lower Saxony) holds one of the largest medieval collection of letters written and collected by women. http://diglib.hab.de/edoc/ed000248/start.htm
