The Faculty is happy to host post-doctoral fellows who are applying for funding from a range of post doctoral fellowship schemes.  Individuals should make contact with the Faculty at an early stage in their application process as there may be limits on applications for some schemes.  A number of the more common schemes are listed below.  Potential applicants should check our vacancies page at the appropriate point or e-mail recruitment@mod-langs.ox.ac.uk

Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships - Expressions of interest. The scheme supports early career researchers who have not yet held a full-time permanent academic post to undertake a significant piece of publishable work. [The deadline for applicants wishing to apply for 2025 has now passed].

How to apply: Expressions of interest from candidates, comprising a two-page proposal outline and two-page CV, should be sent to research.support@humanities.ox.ac.uk by Monday 2 June 2025.  All Expressions of Interest must have the agreement and confirmed support from a postholder in the Faculty who will act as supervisor.  Applicants selected by the Faculty will be supported to submit applications to the call deadline on 10 September 2025.
