The fellowship will build bridges among researchers looking at the various diasporic communities of the early modern Hispanic world through the lens of literature, with a particular focus on sacred epic poetry and the Sephardic diaspora. My own work and the collaborative activities which follow will interrogate the question of how far religious literature such as Biblical epics can act as a vehicle for interreligious dialogue, as well as a number of other themes relating to the expressions of longing and exile, migration, religious toleration and the formation of trans-regional literary networks.
