We are honoured that the 2018 Taylor Lecture will be given by Neil MacGregor. His title will be 'The Humboldt Forum: Two Brothers, a Palast and a Schloß'.
Neil MacGregor has had a remarkable career including the Directorship of the National Gallery and of the British Museum. He is currently a Founding Director of the Humboldt Forum in Berlin.
Along the way Neil MacGregor has found time to make well-known programmes for British television and radio, including A History of the World in 100 Objects and Shakespeare’s Restless World. In 2014 his radio series ‘Germany: Memories of a Nation’, accompanied by a major exhibition in the British Museum and a book of the same title, was notably successful in bringing the complex history of Germany to a British and international audience.
