Ever thought about translation as a career? Not sure where to begin? Join us for a talk and Q&A with TORCH Visiting Fellow Polly Barton, who will be sharing her experience of building a successful career in translation.
Polly Barton is an award-winning writer and translator of Japanese literature and non-fiction. Her translation of Where the Wild Ladies Are by Aoko Matsuda (Tilted Axis Press, 2020) won the World Fantasy Award for Best Collection. Polly's non-fiction debut, Fifty Sounds, was awarded the Fitzcarraldo Essay Prize in 2019.
