Registration for Kafka Transformed, a three-day international conference funded by the AHRC project 'Kafka's Transformative Communities', is now open. The conference will take place at Wadham College Oxford on 18-20 September 2024. The full programme can be accessed here.

The conference features over 100 speakers from five continents. Across three strands – 'Transformation'; 'New Voices'; and 'Resonances, Networks and Legacies' –  it will explore Kafka studies over the past century, today and in the future. A particular focus will be Kafka's reception in different regions and communities around the world as well as in different art forms and media, which have played a key role in Kafka's vibrant ongoing legacy. The conference will also celebrate the launch of the newly formed Global Kafka Network, which will connect scholars and artists from around the world.

The conference features two keynote lectures, by Professor Kata Gellen (Duke University) and Professor Paulo de Medeiros (University of Warwick) as well as a roundtable with our participating artists and a concert, 'Amerika', with Paul Lodge and his band.

To book, there are two options:
The day rate is £30/day, with an option to book individual days. This rate includes lunch as well as tea/coffee and refreshments. Book here with the password KafkadayR24.

There is also the option to book for the whole conference, including two dinners, at a flat rate of £185. Book here with the password CAkafka2024.
