Congratulations to Professor Karen Leeder who has become one of the first of four Einstein Fellows.

The new fellowship programme (which is a collaborative effort between University of Oxford, the Berlin University Alliance and the Einstein Foundation) to deepen academic links across the Channel - focussing on global health and social cohesion.

In order to develop academic exchanges, the programme will allow Karen, and the other fellows (Peter Rothwell, Tarik Abou-Chadi and Stefano Evangelista) to work closely with the Berlin research landscape over a period of three years, through working groups and employing post-doctoral students, amongst other activities.

Professor Leeder says: "I am delighted to be partnering with Prof Jutta Müller-Tamm, the Temporal Communities hub, the Friedrich Schlegel Graduiertenschule and the Freie Universität Berlin to take forward my new project ‘AfterWords’ as part of this new Einstein  Fellowship. We hope this will be a major opportunity to inspire new research, make things happen, and promote graduate and ECR exchange in the areas of poetry, translation and performance. Watch this space!"
