On 16-18 August 2023, The Federal University of Pernambuco in Brazil hosted a colloquium in honour of Prof Cláudia Pazos Alonso, Professor of Portuguese and Gender Studies and Senior Research Fellow at Wadham College. The conference theme, 100 anos do Livro de “Soror Saudade”, de Florbela Espanca, brought together scholars from both sides of the Atlantic. The event, organized by Jonas Leite, Fabio Mario da Silva and Maria Lúcia Dal Farra, included the premiere of 'Florbela', a performance devised by the actor Lorenna Mesquita, based on Florbela's oeuvre.
