This year, Oxford’s Sub-Faculty of Portuguese brought three special guests to the university to talk about their work, as part of our long-running Brazil Week, which celebrates Brazilian literature and culture.

The University of Oxford’s “Brazil Week” aims to raise awareness about the richness and diversity of Brazilian culture by organising a number of free events open not only to students and academics, but also to the general public.

André Penafiel was decorated with the title Comendador da Ordem de Camões by the Portuguese President.
