After Clarice: Reading Lispector’s Legacy in the Twenty-First Century brings together scholars, authors, artists, and translators working in a wide range of languages and disciplines to address Lispector’s place in configurations of world literature.
In the late 1960s and 1970s, Clarice Lispector interviewed famous people for the magazines Manchete and Fatos e Fotos. These interviews are collected in the present volume, with an introduction by Claire Williams.
By choosing a thematic focus on "transition" in women’s lives, we present a series of essays on women who have crossed biological, geopolitical and political borders as well as emotional, sexual, cultural and linguistic boundaries.
