To honour Michael Sheringham (1948-2016) who was Marshal Foch Professor of French Literature at Oxford and a fellow of All Souls, three colleagues from France, Dominique Combe, Michel Murat and Dominique Rabaté, have edited a volume of his articles on poetry which was launched in Paris on 10 June in the presence of Professor Sheringham's widow.
The book, Le sujet de ce livre est un être mobile, contains studies of 20th-century writers like André Breton, Robert Desnos and Philippe Jaccottet.
