The panel discussion on ‘Hunger Artistry: Kafka and the Art of Starvation’ which took place in May is now available to watch online.

Peter Boxall, Alys Moody, Ankhi Mukerjee, and Meindert Peters were in conversation with Karen Leeder examining Kafka’s provocative story ‘The Hunger Artist’, which explores starvation, art, and the nature of human existence. The discussion considered the story and its reception and legacy in the context of eating disorders, hunger strikes, and starvation used as a weapon of war.
