The Trustees’ A-Level Scholarship Award is a prestigious award for current sixth form students of French and is intended to recognise a potential for excellence. It is open to current students at school or sixth form college in Oxford or the surrounding area sitting French A-level exams in Summer 2026.

The Scholarship comprises up to five terms of free group tuition (with maximum 8 students per class) to support a candidate’s current French A-Level studies. The tuition is designed to supplement the A-Level French teaching in a candidate’s current school. The current value of this Scholarship is approximately £1325.

Hope Broomers, a scholarship recipient from 2020, shares her experience: “I got an A in French which I definitely wouldn’t have done without the help from the Alliance Francaise d’Oxford.  Thank you so much for everyone at the Alliance Francaise for setting up such an amazing scholarship programme and offering such interesting and engaging French lessons!” Hope went on to study French at Cambridge.

Our awardees Ilka and Nathalie share their thoughts about winning the scholarship in this video.
