On 15 June, Cinéma et culture française à Oxford, with the support of the Society for French Studies, welcomes the French actress and director Zabou Breitman, or simply Zabou. Fresh from hosting the 30th Molière Awards in France, she will be talking about her career at the Taylor Institution. The conversation will be in French.

Zabou Breitman une célèbre actrice et réalisatrice française qui a débuté au cinéma à l’âge de quatre ans. Après une carrière télévisuelle, elle explose aux cinéma. Dans les années 90, Zabou travaille avec les plus grands cinéastes : Diane Kurys (La Baule-les-Pins, 1990), Coline Serreau (La Crise, 1992), Philippe Lioret (Tenue correcte exigée, 1997) et Pierre Jolivet (Ma petite entreprise, 1999), ou encore le tandem Jaoui/Bacri pour Cuisine de dépendances en 1993. Elle passe derrière la caméra en 2001 pour son premier long métrage Se souvenir des belles choses. En 2010, elle réalise No et moi, adapté du livre de Delphine de Vigan, son troisième long métrage, dans lequel elle interprète la mère d'une adolescente rebelle.
