Event Description:

A Portuguese-English creative translation workshop led by literary translator Rahul Bery, where we will translate sections from Micheliny Verunschk’s O som do rugido da onça (2021). No Portuguese required! This event is a collaboration between the Sub-Faculty of Portuguese and the Translation Exchange at Queen’s College, Oxford.

Rahul Bery is based in Cardiff and translates from Spanish and Portuguese into English. His most recent translations from Portuguese are Mary John by Ana Pessoa (co-translation with Daniel Hahn) and Nothing Can Hurt You Know by Simone Campos.
