We were pleased to welcome Dr Chantal Thomas for the 2019 Zaharoff Lecture, Essai, roman, film: réflexion sur les métamorphoses de l’écriture.

Chantal Thomas is renowned both as an academic, with noteworthy research on Sade, Casanova and Marie-Antoinette amongst others, and as an author of fiction. Chantal Thomas spoke of writing for different genres, from essays to novels like her celebrated Adieux à la Reine and film scripts--including that of her novel L'Echange des Princesses.
