The Sub-Faculty of Spanish is the successful host of the 2021-2022 AHGBI Visiting International Fellowship Award, secured by Dr Raquel Fernández-Menéndez (Universiteit Utrecht) and Dr Hannie Lawlor (Oxford).

Dr Fernández-Menéndez's innovative book project focuses on Spanish women poets who established their literary career under the Franco dictatorship and interrogates the notions of value, quality, and authority that underpin anthologies. She will carry out her research stay in Oxford in September 2022, where she will collaborate with Dr Hannie Lawlor and Professor Xon de Ros, along with other members of the sub-faculty.
