Congratulations to Sean Wyer, Lecturer in Italian at Balliol College, on his new publication Gourmet and the Ghetto: The 'Foodification' of Rome's Historic Jewish Quarter in Gastronomica: The Journal for Food Studies. His research asks how Rome's former Ghetto has been transformed into a food destination in the twenty-first century, with new restaurants serving kosher interpretations of dishes from carbonara to sushi.
