We are delighted to announce that international seminar Balzac et l'Angleterre / Balzac and England is taking place in Oxford this April. The seminar has been jointly arranged by Maison Française d’Oxford, University of Oxford, University of Bradford, Modern Humanities Research Association, and University of Birmingham. The subjects of the presentations will range from English politics as seen by Honoré de Balzac to cross-cultural influences in literature and art.

The seminar is open to all interested parties; booking fee is required. A number of the presentations will be in English, with the rest conducted in French. For further details about the event, please, follow this link.
